BOOKING CONDITIONS
BOOKINGS AND DEPOSITS
A deposit of 30% of the total accommodation cost is required to secure a booking. For peak season bookings a deposit of 50% is required. In peak periods any balance of accommodation cost due needs to be paid six weeks prior to arrival and at all other times four weeks prior to arrival. If a booking is made less than four weeks prior to arrival date then full payment of the accommodation costs is requested. A tentative booking will be held no longer than seven days. The description of the units by the manager or staff is given in good faith and no responsibility of misinterpretation can be accepted. By Submitting a deposit to secure accommodation at Clearwater you are accepting the Terms & Conditions.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Where a booking has been made with a 30% deposit and the booking has to be cancelled, every effort will be made to transfer this booking and deposit to an alternative date which must be made within 6 months of the original reservation dates. If this is not possible then the 30% deposit will be forfeited.
Where a 50% or 100% deposit has been paid and a cancellation takes place, again every effort will be made to transfer the booking and deposit to an alternative date, which must be made within 6 months of the original reservation dates. Should this not be possible the following refund policy will apply:-
If full payment for the accommodation has been made and the booking cancelled any time up to 42 days before arrival 70% of the deposit will be refunded.
If full payment for the accommodation has been made and the booking cancelled between 21 and 42 days before arrival 50% of the deposit will be refunded.
If full payment for the accommodation has been made and the booking cancelled within 21 days before arrival 40% of the deposit will be refunded.
If 50% has been paid on the accommodation and the booking is cancelled 14 – 28 days before arrival 20% of the deposit will be refunded.
No refunds given for early departures.
We recommend that guests take out a comprehensive holiday cancellation and protection insurance to cater for any unforeseen circumstances that may cause you to cancel their booking.
BOND
A refundable security bond of $300 applies to all bookings. This needs to be paid at the same time as the final accomodation payment is made. Following a property inspection, the bond monies will be returned by mail or by EFT within 14 days of the guests’ departure. All breakages, damages and lost keys need to be reported and paid for by the guests.
OWNER/MANAGERS LIABILITY
Guests should report to the Managers without delay any defects in the unit or breakdown in any equipment/appliances etc. Arrangements for the repair or replacement will be made as soon as possible. The owners or Managers of Clearwater shall not be liable to the guests for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of utilities to the properties, nor in respect of any equipment/appliances etc in the unit, or for any loss damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot/war/strikes or any other matters beyond the control of the owners or managers of Clearwater.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
The check in time is 2.00pm and departure time is 10.00am unless otherwise arranged. Special arrangements can be made for check in after 5.00pm.
NO OF GUESTS
The property can only be occupied by the number of persons stated in the booking confirmation or as subsequently agreed with the managers. The managers reserve the right to refuse occupancy of the property if this condition is not observed.
RIGHT TO REFUSE OR REVOKE BOOKINGS
The managers of Clearwater and the property owner reserve the right to revoke or refuse to honour any accommodation booking which may in the opinion of either the managers or owner, (and at their sole discretion) be unsuitable for the property concerned. The same right to revoke or refuse a booking applies should details given of the guests prove to be inaccurate. In such instances a full refund will be given. The guests also agree not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to other guests or residents in neighbouring properties. Guests repeatedly the subject of complaints from other guests or residents will be requested to vacate the unit. No refund of accommodation costs will be given in these instances.
LINEN
Linen can be supplied to the units at an additional cost and is collected upon the guest’s departure. There is no need to wash the linen supplied at the end of your stay. Linen needs to be ordered at the time of booking.
PARKING
Parking is restricted to two cars per home unless otherwise arranged.
PETS & NO SMOKING POLICY
Sorry, we are unable to accommodate your pets. There is no smoking permitted inside the homes. Please dispose of cigarette ends thoughtfully if you smoke outside/
CLEANING
Due to the limited time to service the units, it is requested that the unit, including the BBQ, is left in a clean and tidy condition. All crockery & cutlery to be cleaned and put away before leaving unit. There is an additional charge, taken from the bond payment, should the unit require more than a basic clean.
BABY NEEDS
A cot and high chair is available for rent at $15 for each item for the duration of the stay. It is essential to book in advance if these items are required.
